About This Book

Jake Crabtree is twelve years old, and he's unwittingly invented a formula that radically changes the appearance of fruit and veg. Grown-ups will no longer have to force feed children their five-a-day, not when they look like blueberry muffins and jam roly-poly. Jake has an accident at a local science fair with his formula. The creature that emerges starts to take over the villages of Little Codswallop. If Jake has any hope of stopping the creature, he has to endure his granddad's crazy inventions. They're meant to cure Jake of his stammer but turn out to be just as dangerous as anything or anyone he's likely to encounter.
