Jack of Bilge

A wild-eyed vagrant stands on a San Francisco street corner offering $100 bills to strangers. Trudie Funch is the only person curious enough to wonder why. The kindly fellow smiles but can't speak. Then when private detectives pursue the itinerant man, Trudie gets reeled into his eccentric life. She learns he's no vagrant. He's Jack Bilger, heir apparent to the BilgeMart multinational superstore chain. He's gone AWOL from his company on a quixotic quest to redesign his deceased father's corporation to suit his own Bohemian vision. Trudie wants to help him, but there's a problem. Jack is out of his mind. Jack of Bilge is a quirky comic tale about capitalism, idealism, objectivism, nepotism, and how life makes us all a little bit crazy.
