When Deidra Dansan finds her shop burglarized she phones the police. Her first encounter with Sergeant Mitchell Parker is far from amicable. Neither knows that this chance encounter is about to change their lives forever, but not necessarily for the better. Sergeant Parker stumbles upon much more than he bargains for when he finds himself assigned to protect Deidra, never dreaming that it would put him in the danger he is about to face. Once the ordeal is over Mitch is determined to help Deidra deal with the ghosts from her past and begin a new life. Can he amend the demons that haunt her or will his attempts drive an irreparable wedge between them?
