HOW BRIDGE McCOY LEARNED TO SAY I LOVE YOU is an off-center love story about a writer who walks two steps forward and one step backward, hates change, and when he tries to tell the woman he loves that he loves her, all he can say is I, I, I, I, Lo, Lo, Lo...., and starts choking like there is a meatball stuck in his throat. Set is a weird little art town in New Mexico and filled with a cast of characters that stretch the imagination the novel is funny, snide, sarcastic, and profoundly touching.
