Summertime for David Stanhope means barbeques, bike riding, and being chased across dimensions by evil sorcerers. When David Stanhope and his sister Amanda unearthed a mysterious ruby in their family's attic last summer, it launched them on the adventure of a lifetime. Now, a year later, they're back home, trying to lead normal lives. Until one day a knock at their door once again launches them into the dangerous power struggles in the magical world of Abraxas. While the Stanhopes try to figure out whether they can ever return home, they find themselves facing many questions: Who's behind the repeated break-ins at the castle? What's wrong with Cousin Beth?
