About This Book

Happy Henry reluctantly rides to the rescue of his war veteran mentor, saving him from the indignity of life in a nursing home. Britain suffering the coldest winter in living memory inspires the odd couple to flee the country for the charms of Alicante, where Henry is sure a TV presenter is desperate for a good bit of loving.

Henry's frazzled brain and extravagant sexual lust barely kept in check by his mentor's walking stick as they explore the Costa Blanca with the usual destructive vectors and mad capers.

Poor old Henry, bloated out from excessive consumption of fast food and ruined internal organs, finds himself desperate to shed weight and regain the ability to leap on to any female still showing signs of breathing.

As Happy's dissolution gathers pace, his brain circuits shift to violence and wanton vandalism, the Spanish not amused to have their pristine ambience ruined in short order. His mentor's encroaching senility and keenness to cane some order back into the world doesn't really help matters. It's a race to see who will do the most damage in the shortest time and whether their long-standing relationship will survive.

Happy Henry originally appeared in the defunct Used Motorcycle Guide and went on to gain fame as Oriental Henry in Thailand where his interaction with the locals resulted in a life-long ban from the kingdom.
