Hanging by a Moment

Listening to the rain, Sara stared out into the dark, gray sky. She felt blessed to have had the months without speaking to Michael weekly. It was hard to imagine how it would be forced away. A choice, a decision...it wasn't fully his; rather, it was the choice to live far away. It felt like their relationship had a premature ending that hadn't been given the chance to grow. Sara couldn't imagine that after years of holding onto her secret desire for Michael's love and friendship that he would now be gone. The days and nights felt long. Days ran into each other, as she lost track of time. Sara believed in the power of prayer, as she tirelessly cried with no chance in sight of the loss that she had been feeling would stop. Sara cried so much that day that every ounce of strength that she had left in her put her to sleep. Her body couldn't take it anymore. In her sleep she was revealed her future.
