Gitter Dunn

Gitter Dunn: Redneck Wizard: is the story of a young boy, Gitter Dunn, who is left to live with the Watts family: Memphis, Selma, their children: Martin, Luther, King and Tanika (who is the same age as Gitter). Gitter immediately suspects he is different than everyone else. He has special abilities. He can produce a powerful scream that breaks the eardrums of a classmate. Gitter is not alone with his special powers. Tanika can make herself as hard as steel. Her 'brother' King can transform into a panther. When a state sponsored military academy demands that Gitter be turned over to them, his new 'family' tries to fight it. They cannot go against a court ruling. Forced to attend this academy Gitter soon learns that they are preparing for a race war and he is to be their centerpiece in the fight. He refuses, meets a lich, Neo-Nazis and is forced to confront an army of racist youths in order to save the people he loves—his family—the Watts. He also learns about his birth parents, who sacrificed themselves so he could grow up unharmed.
