Cody, mild mannered and crippled from an accident flys to Alaska to visit his grandpa who lives in the Alaska Wilderness. There he meets Tyler, unkempt rowdy and bad mannered, and the only boy near grandpa's house.
Tempers flare before the boys learn to become friends. When cody learns of a ghost having been seen in the area, he takes his new camera and sets out hoping to get some pictures of it to send to his arents in Wisconsin.
Although unsure how he feels about Tyler, Cody decides to ask Tyler to explore the great Alaskan Wilderness with him in search of the mystery ghost. Disregarding grandpa's rules for their safety, the two boys encounter many dangers as they go exploring on their own.
They experience the numbing fear of a snarling bear, the slashing proofs of a charging moose and the icy waters of a mountain pool in a near drowning experience. As friends, the learn and grow together as they try to solve the Alaskan ghost mystery.
