In 2004, Jessica Palmer died suddenly of septicaemia, just six days after giving birth to her second child. Her illness could easily have been detected; her death was preventable, but nothing was done until it was too late. Jessica's husband, Ben, was left devastated, struggling to care for their two young children whilst searching for answers. In 2006 he successfully sued the NHS for negligence.
