      When Brittany moved in with Nana B. they started naming all the birds and animals that visit, live, and feed on their property in Dixmont, Maine. They began writing short stories for children about the animals and birds. The pictures in the stories were taken on their property. The little house you will see in this book is actually a playhouse that was built by Nana B.'s father, Walter Burpee, for Nana B. back in 1971. Three generations of girls have enjoyed many hours playing in the playhouse. The pictures of the stream, trees, gardens and animals are all part of their property in Maine. They hope you enjoy these stories as much as they enjoyed creating them together.
