About This Book

Family Sins is the account of two families. The Damanos immigrated from Italy to the United States at the turn of the 20th century. The other family, the Brutons, migrated to Washington, D.C. from the Carolinas. Both families hoped that their children would take advantage of what America offered, but it was not to be. Their offspring turned to crime. The first generation of these two families were to meet, and what followed would decide the course of crime in Washington, D.C. Anthony Damano hoped to live to see a member of his family reach respectability. Even his grandchildren were drawn into the criminal element. This was also true of the Bruton family. Family Sins is a story of violence and humor with a surprise ending. Maybe the third generation will live the dreams of Anthony Damano.
