Along the way, Ereth comes upon an injured mother lox, who begs him to look after her children. When the lox dies, Ereth is suddenly foster father to three boisterous young kits, Ike's even too busy to notice a vicious fisher, Marty, stalking him. Ereth's walk in the woods has become the adventure of a lifetime!
