      This book is about the lasting effect abuse has on children. I was just four years old. When I watched as my dad dragged my mother into the bathroom by her hair. She was kicking and screaming the whole way. She was trying to put up a good fight. Dad ignored her screams of anguish. He was drunk again and oblivious to her pain.
