Creature Comforts

A star falls deep in a Massachusetts wood. A statue is discovered buried in ruins in the heart of a Virginia swamp. A book pulled from a sinister library holds secrets in an ancient language. A goblet found in a western cave gives faith to the faithless. For Elvin Vernon, the items serve one purpose: to discover the secrets of summoning an ancient being who whispers to him. As the secrets are revealed and the servants gather, Elvin and his followers prepare for the coming of the creature: the one whose arrival is harbingered by blood. All Malcolm Renwick wanted was an education, and he thought he had the opportunity when he was offered admission into Malvern University but, as Malcolm discovers, things are not what they seem beneath the heart of the university. As the university's dark past comes to light, Malcolm realizes he has to stop Elvin and his followers before they carry out their insidious plans. Before HE is summoned.
