Philip Danze grew up in Queens where he became an accomplished baseball player. After being offered a contract, he turned it down, already enrolled in New York University, where Saul Bellows was one of his teachers. Danze worked as a professional copywriter for over 30 years. He now lives in Manalapan, New Jersey. Conjuring Maud is his first novel.
