Captain Vidiot and the Attack of the Gwarks

When Myles Cavendish receives a really lame video game for his thirteenth birthday, his world is altered as he sets out on a pulse-pounding adventure and becomes part of the digital realm. Able to transport himself between his life as a middle school nerd in the real world and his superhero life within the world of the game, Myles dies three times in one week—all while trying to save both worlds from utter destruction in time to make a date with the girl of his dreams. There are sinister forces at work, and upon each return to the real world, he becomes aware that not only is he changing the game, but the game is changing him. In only four days he's become faster, stronger, and the star of his middle school lacrosse team, and best of all, the popular girls are finally noticing him. Soon his sister catches on to his unexplained disappearances, and it's only a matter of time before Myles will have to save himself before the game destroys his town, the people he loves … and him.
