China Bones Book 1 introduces us to Zack Cameron. Zack joins the Marines to get away from a dead-end life in his going nowhere job. He is transformed from a boy on the run to a man and Marine stationed in China during the Sino-Japanese War. While in Japan he learns the ways of the world, falls in love (with a married woman) and even finds what might be the way to a fortune that can change his life forever. It is the first part in a three-part story that runs the length of World War 2 and transports the reader throughout the Pacific campaign.
