During an accident on his isolated, inhospitable home planet, 13 year old Jerreck is possessed by an evil demon. Realising that Jerreck has latent magical powers, the demon hides deep within his mind, concealing itself until it can possess and control him.

Years later, when Jerreck is at the height of his powers, the demon strikes. It forces Jerreck to betray the trust and loyalty of those around him as it battles to overthrow the ancient order.
