About This Book

"Choose to remember."

A case of amnesia is only the beginning. The young woman believes someone intends to kill her, but who? Without her memory, the riddled clues of a person who signs each message with the words "Black Mists" are her only warnings of the danger that follow.

The mystery takes on new dimensions as each fresh revelation comes to light. Everything is not as it seems, and the secrets held by Black Mists could turn out to be as dark as the shadows they hide behind.

Karlissa was born and raised in a small town in Northern British Columbia. She started her education at a Christian school, but partway through switched to homeschooling to allow her family the freedom to do missions. This flexibility allowed her to travel to many locations in the U.S., Canada, and Central America, including many trips to Guatemala and living in the Dominican Republic for three months. On her own, she has visited Europe, completed a Discipleship Training School in Belize with Youth with a Mission, served in the Philippines, and studied writing in Switzerland. Writing, drawing, research, and all things having to do with animals from mammals to insects have been a passion of hers since she was very young.
