Bewitching Crystal

Rande's got a wicked stepmother. Maureen can't hold a job so she talks Rande's dad into opening her a pet shop in, of all places, Old Salem, Massachusetts. In the spirit of the place, Maureen has taken to wearing a witch costume and running with the local weirdoes. Guess who is left to mind the pet store? And does Dad care that his new Bride of Darkness can't cook or clean? No, he's under Maureen's spell and blind to the unfairness of it all. It's up to Rande to save them both from Mad Maureen and her maniac friends. Even the parrot, Crystal, is bewitched, if you can believe a thing she says. But then, is anything in Salem what it seems? One thing is certain. Someone is playing a dangerous game. No one can ignore the warnings that come in the form of a burned out store and a poisonous snake? But who are the warnings meant for? Rande's counting on Saint Anne to help her figure out if Mad Maureen is sinning or sinned against.
