      Goldy labored to his classroom door with gym bag hanging loosely about his right shoulder. His chatterbox crew . . . readied to leave. The clock in his classroom now read: 8:14. The red dial marking the seconds, moved aggressively to the 11.

      Goldy, in his usual phlegmatic approach, pushed the door open.

      The entire class resounded, "A-w-w-w-w-w-w!"

      Just above the din, one student said, "Damn, just five more seconds."

      They eased momentarily.

      Goldy heedlessly gauged each of their frowns. "...And a good @#$%^&* morning to you too."
