      The Vice President of the United States, fearful of being dropped from the party ticket in the next election, plans to take matters into his own hands. He bullies the White House Chief of Staff into planning the assassination of the President. All goes according to plan until an ex-Secret Service agent and his former boss, the Chief of the Secret Service, start an unofficial investigation into the plot. Their first clue begins with the unraveling of a computerized message inviting the ex-Secret Service agent to join the plot.
