This novel is about the War on Terrorism. It begins with real holes in America's defenses, and tells a tale of three of them. It is chilling, fast-paced, and spine-tinglingly realistic. The book takes the reader into the inner circle of Osama bin Laden as they plan a new attack, as well as inside two other attacks by two other terrorist groups, Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad. The novel covers operations in Afghanistan by American Special Forces, the 10th Mountain Division, Delta Force, the Navy, and the Air Force. An accurate and exciting description of their weapons and battle tactics is woven throughout in a style reminiscent of Herman Wouk and Tom Clancey. The book portrays the politics of the War, and the difficulties of negotiating a middle ground between the Israelis and the Arab States. The heart-pounding suspense of the pending terrorist attacks is maintained to the conclusion.
