About This Book

America's Elected Monarch is a fictional account of what might have happened if there had been no American Revolution. Most of the characters are real, though their actions are mostly fictitious. Henry, Duke of Cumberland existed, but so far as I know, never went to America. He was one of George III's many siblings, fifteen in all. Ben Franklin had a daughter named Sally, but she never accompanied her father on his many journeys. Lord Bute was a close friend of King George and was all for forcing the colonies to obey the king. Pitt was far more realistic and was able to see both sides of the tax problem.

The few fictitious characters are either part of Henry's staff or Ben Franklin's.

The book is not to be taken seriously, but is very much a "what if "
