About This Book

Vinny and I have successfully completed several paranormal investigations and the calls keep coming-in. I have to say, he's an experienced bloodhound and knows the unwritten code of Supernatural 101. This time, our investigation takes us to the High Country of North Carolina. Arriving at the bed and breakfast, my internal ghost detector didn't go off. There were no clanging chains or midnight wailers.

While enjoying dinner, the lodge owner told us about a strange phenomenon plaguing a local homeowner. After the sun goes down, unquenchable fire burns for hours on the neighbor's property. Some folks compare it to the haunting on Brown Mountain, North Carolina.

The ghostly mountainside fire wasn't the only out of control blaze. Getting bubbly from the wine cellar, I walked in on my partner and the lodge owner's fiancé. Vinny and I had a huge fight, and I accused him of cheating on his wife.

There was something else about the lodge owner's fiancé that I didn't like. I tried to scoff it off thinking it was my own jealousy - yes, I have a thing for Vinny and she is eye candy- then my paranormal alarm went off. Fingers of blame started to point in all directions.
