About This Book

In World War ll, QA nurse Laura Terrington  is caught up in the 1940 evacuation from Dunkirk. On her ambulance train, she meets wounded Christopher Leybourne, and they have a whirlwind romance when he later seeks her out in London. They marry just before she sets off on her next mission, but when she returns a year later, there is no news of him. She decides to seek out his family in North Yorkshire, only to clash with his brother Nicholas. Emotions become entangled in the following years of the war, when love and death take Laura on a difficult path of courage, heartbreak, misunderstandings, and finally, happiness.
