A Matter of Life and Love

Janie was sixteen when she met her best friend, Kevin. He was the one person who was always there for her. The one she told her secrets to. The one she called when she needed help. Kevin, a serious minded young man, never dated. What no one knew was the love he had for Janie. His plans were to finish college and law school, and someday make a life with her. To his shock and dismay, while Kevin was away, Janie met a man and excitedly wrote him to share her news. Broken hearted, he never responded knowing he had lost his one true love.
