In A Magical Dream, an orphaned child, Johnny, is left to live with his Grandmother. The one thing that remains constant in Johnny's life is his love of books. After Johnny reads a book and falls asleep in the grass, he wakes to find himself in his own magical story, only this story isn't your typical fairy tale. Johnny begins on a quest that takes him to a Dragon, Princess and the wicked Wizard. When Johnny wakes from his adventure, he assumes it was all a dream, but if it was a dream, then where did the bag of diamonds in Johnny's hand come from? Was it just a dream or A Magical Dream?
A Magical Dream is a twist on traditional fairy tales because it teaches that you can't always read a book by its cover as in the case of the timid, caring Dragon.
