Diamond — Suzanne Weyn

Ava loves working at the local horse stable. She grooms and washes horses and cleans up stalls. Diamond is an Arabian horse that no one wants to ride because she is too old. Ava decides to take care of Diamond, spending extra time to warm her up before easy trail rides. The other riders don't understand why Ava would waste her time with such a slow, old horse. But when the stable holds its annual trail race, Ava signs up Diamond. Is Diamond too old to win?
