Highland Lovesong
Out of the frying pan, thought Cella glumly. When she had left Bermuda for this remote corner of Scotland, she had promised her ardent suitor Frank to return with her answer. And now, less than an hour among the gentle highland hills she hadn't seen since childhood, she had apparently fallen head over heels in love with Robbie, a gray-eyed stranger.

She thought of Frank with a mixture of guilt and relief -- realizing that love was not among the fierce feelings he kindled in her. But as for the other…love just didn't happen that way, that was just a fairy tale. Besides, Robbie was already spoken for, and Glynis wasn't the kind of woman to give up a man without a struggle.

And anyway, she chided herself, she wasn't her to behave like an infatuated schoolgirl; she was here to confront Lord Cedric, the disturbingly handsome master of Longworth Castle, about a matter of grave concern.
