Sidney Walter Dean was born on 01 June 1871 in Rhode Island, United States of America. He married the also writer Marguerite Mooers Marshall (1887-1964). He enjoyed spending the holidays in Quebec, where he and her wife kept a summer cottage. He passed away on 05 March 1952.
