A Cinderella Story: Movie Novelization — Robin Wasserman

Once upon a time, in a valley not so far, far away.... there lived a beautiful, witty, kindhearted teenager named Samantha. Only she didn't realize how special she was, because her life sure wasn't easy. Sam's mom and dad died when she was just a kid, and she's stuck living with her step-monster, Fiona, and her two evil stepsisters.

There's just one ray of light in Sam's dreary existence: her IM buddy, Nomad. The two tech-crossed lovers finally agree to meet at the school's Halloween costume ball. But when his mask comes off, Nomad turns out to be Austin Ames, the most popular guy in school. Fearing rejection, Sam bails before her identity can be revealed.

But Austin/Nomad is determined to discover who his true love really is. He's only got one clue -- Sam's cell phone, which she dropped in her haste to escape. Can this prince find his princess and persuade her that they should live happily ever after -- or at least, till graduation?
