Cory, a high school gymnast, see Anna during lunch and is instantly smitten. Anna is mysterious and pale, so Cory needs to know more about her. He does questionable, borderline stalkerish things like getting her number and address whiteout her knowledge, going to her house late at night. His actions, however, don't frighten Anna she likes them and starts to seduce Cory but something is not right. Brad, Anna's sister keeps telling Cory Anna is dead. Oh what a twist in the end! I read this as a child and wanted to see what I would think of it years later. No deep character study or gripping thriller. It was quick, silly and fun, I had to know what would happen next and what the answer to Anna's mystery was.
