Inspired by Jalal ad-Din Rumi's poem, "The Parrot and the Merchant," "A Tale of Two Parrots" tells the story of a parrot who lives an easy life in the home of a wealthy merchant. The parrot has a beautiful cage, the best food, and the love of the merchant. One day, when the merchant is leaving on a trip to India, the parrot asks him to visit an old parrot friend. As the merchant loves his parrot, he agrees. Upon his return from India, the merchant tells his parrot the surprising story of his visit with his parrot friend and, suddenly, everything begins to change. Just as the merchant's clever parrot wished for it to do.

A fun, engaging, yet meaningful tale about dreams and action and the secret ingredient that is most essential to any good life.
