Colin MacGregor has taken a undercover assignment to seek out traitors who are against the King. Colin misses his beloved Scotland, but his duty to his King comes first. Hired by a man as a mercenary, Colin meets a beautiful lass named Lady Gillian Dearly. She has been living at the castle of her cousin because she has a son out of wedlock and banished from her home. Even though Gillian tries to protect her son from her vicious cousin, it's Colin who comes to her aid. She sees how her son is treated by this handsome Highlander and love blossoms. I love how Colin and Gillian find love with each other. I hated when the final page was read that ended the story of the MacGregors. Thanks MS Quinn for all your great books. I look forward to the next one.
