Chris and Ted are one of the steadiest couples in Rose Hill. He's the star quarterback at Kennedy High; she's just been elected student government president. Everyone knows they belong together.

Only Ted is beginning to have doubts. Chris is so wrapped up in her new job she barely notices him anymore. Ted needs a girl who has more time for him, who is more understanding -- a girl like Brenda, Chris's stepsister.

Brenda's happy to be with someone who needs her. Before she realizes it, she's becoming more and more involved with Ted. Chris is devastated to find out what Brenda and Ted are up to. It looks like she's losing Ted to her own stepsister -- and she's not sure she'll ever get him back.
