Twisted Bars — Max Brand

The three short novels in this new Max Brand(r) trio comprise the story of John Penny Thurlow, better known as the Duster. When the Duster arrives in the town of Christmas, he insists that he wants to go straight, to live an ordinary life. He wants to bury the charred bones of his partner in the consecrated grounds of the Christmas cemetery, but the Reverend Kenneth Lamont refuses to allow the burial.
