When Winston Wins is the story of the ultimate competitor. The only thing worse than a sore loser is an ungracious winner. Winston is both. Whether playing a simple game of checkers or the winning touch down in the Super Bowl you are subjected to his over the top "excessive celebration." Everyone knows a Winston in their life. The sore loser of a board game whom flips the board over when they are about to lose. The video game player whom unplugs the controller just before the victory battle is won. The kid that can't contain himself when he sinks the winning basket or make the final goal on the soccer field. He pumps his fist into the air and dances in victory. He gloats over every small or large win. He is not concerned about his competitor; he only lives for the next victory. When Winston grows up he becomes the young man that calls you after his favorite team scores but turns off the phone when your team is ahead. He is a fun loving guy. He loves games, sports, card games, contest anything that creates a win lose situation. After his victory parade unto himself, he is always able to lure his victim back to the board with the promise not to gloat this time, but is unable to contain himself. As annoying as the bragging gets you find yourself face to face with him once again. There is only one solution or cure for a person like this....BEAT HIM Author Mary Fairchild-Lenyo lives in the competitive town of Plymouth Indiana. She lives with her husband Phil. She has six children Caleb, Ellie, Moises, Grace, Luke and Cali, three step-children and a foster daughter. She has two dogs and three cats. This is her first children's book. At the time of print she is working on a new alphabet book about the birth of baby Jesus. She loves to read, cook, dance and amusement parks with her family. Illustrator Cristina Vigil also lives in Plymouth. She is attending Ivy Tech College.
