Welcome to After Effex, where before and after are never the same! What started out as a small salon with three friends has now grown into a national and soon-to-be global brand. Qiana, who started the business, and her best friends/partners, Taryn and Monya, created this successful brand, and with the help of an investor have opened their first franchise location, now being run by Taryn's cousin Bianca.

Bianca knows the true meaning of “ride or die.” Her boyfriend, Vee, has been serving a prison sentence for the past four years, and she has been holding it down. She hasn't even thought about another man. She recently gave up braiding hair in her mom's house and finished cosmetology school. Her cousin Taryn rewarded her by hiring her to run a new salon.

Bianca is hesitant at first, but when she realizes she'll only be two hours away from the prison where Vee has been transferred, she decides to make the move. Now she is living in a new city, with a new job, new clientele, and new friends. Things are great, until she meets Tyler, a sexy delivery driver with the bedroom reputation to match. What started out as an innocent flirtation has her questioning her decisions and testing her loyalty, and she's in jeopardy of losing it all: her family, her career, and her man.
