The story of Zoey and Matt was a good one. Matt was seen in the first two books offering advice to those who needed a little push in the right direction. His past isn't as perfect as people make it out to be, and I'm glad! I always hate it when a book makes the pastor look so perfect. He's human, just like everyone else! Zoey admits to having made a lot of mistakes, but has changed.
This is a good book on why gossiping is bad. Not only did the people hold on to grudges and Zoey's teenage rebellion in an unhealthy way, but they didn't even have all the facts! Zoey kept quiet about the truth, not wanting to cause anybody any more pain. It's a shame the people who were gossiping about her were probably not any better than she was!
The play that Zoey performed in was GREAT! I loved those scenes. I loved, loved, loved the first kiss and how it happened. I found myself ooohing and ahhing over that. Kudos to the author for another well-done book! Loving the people of Mirror Lake.
