hris, the middle son and twin to Heather (who's story was in the first book) is a police officer. Unfortunately, he'd become a cop without his father's blessing since he was 'supposed' to be part of the family business. When his brother, Tim, asks Chris to talk to one of his reporters that had received some threatening letter, Chris did so reluctantly. If only he knew it would change his life!
Afraid of fear itself, Felicity had decided not to let anything make her afraid. Though she had a 'thing' about enclosed spaces such as elevators, she tried to face it head-on. That's why she wouldn't take Chris's concerns about these threats seriously.
My favorite parts, were of course the dialogue between Chris and Felicity when she was 'caught' disobeying him. Like when she refused to use the partner system, thinking she would get by without him catching her breaking the rules...he was always there! One day he caught her why cruising in his police car. Another day he was waiting for her with his arms folded across his chest when she 'snuck' back into her office. And the caramel thing was so funny! I loved the banter between these two.
It seems, though, that the author was more interested in the mystery than in the romance. I was really disappointed at the end when it just said "and he kissed her." and that was it...But the rest of the story was very good.
Wallace, of course, is still in the hospital. There's no sign of Jeremy or Melissa. There was as much focus on the family in this book as there was in the first book. Also, there is an announcement made at the end of the book...
