About the Author

Joyce and Jim Lavene are award-winning photojournalists, which somewhere along the way, they decided to write novels and since then, they have been hooked on that genre. They started out publishing romance and mystery novels in 1999 as themselves, and under the pseudonyms Joye Ames, J.J. Cook, and Ellie Grant. The bestselling marriage writing team have written and published more than 65 novels for Harlequin, Berkley, Amazon and Gallery Books along with hundreds of non-fiction articles for national and regional publications.

They live in rural North Carolina with their family.
