Or so he thinks, until the Zed Rodel gang decides to hold up the stage at Cooper's stage stop. Away on an errand, Cooper is confronted with carnage when he returns. The stage driver and the passenger are sprawled on the ground. Cooper's wife, child and dog are dead in the cabin. Barely alive, the stage driver lives long enough to give Cooper the details of the massacre. Without hesitation, Cooper straps on his gun and rides out, filled with a terrible vengeance.
