Firefighter Sarie Appleton thought she'd seen the last of the arson fires, But she was wrong. Obviously the culprit was still on the loose.

The latest building destroyed was owned by one of Boston's leading citizens -- Vance Leland. He insisted on joining Sarie's investigation. Before she knew it sparks began to fly, and she very nearly lost her heart.

But as the evidence gathered she could no longer ignore the truth. Vance Leland either set the fires himself or knew who did. The trick was to find out which before the real damage was done.
