About the Author

James Follett trained to be a marine engineer, and also spent time hunting for underwater treasure, filming sharks, designing power boats, and writing technical material for the Ministry of Defence before becoming a full-time writer. He is the author of numerous radio plays and television dramas, as well as fourteen novels including, Ice, Churchill's Gold, Dominator, Swift and Taurus. He lives in a small Surrey village with his wife, two children and a yellowing collection of New Scientist back numbers.
