Danger fills the air in a North Carolina beach town as wildfires from the surrounding woodlands move closer. In the midst of the growing crisis, the lives of three strangers touch and entwine - a school administrator who also works as a volunteer fire fighter, a feisty high school "Azalea Princess" in the Azalea Festival, and a beautiful but unhappy jewelry-maker.

As the three become increasingly involved with each other, the fire overtakes the town - and forces each of them to confront the things they fear most.
