Theron Brooks' entire life was changed by one single act. His fifth grade teacher informed the entire class that she was going to place everyone back a few grade levels.Later, Theron's family leaves his Chicago neighborhood for a better life in the suburbs. There, Theron is confronted with hatred, humiliation, peer pressure, the reality of a poor education and ultimately defeat.
