Davis, a favorite author, knows how to tell a suspenseful story. She immediately draws readers into this book with well-written, descriptive scenes, richly described characters, and keeps them turning the pages to see what is going to happen next -- not only with regard to the investigation, but also to learn how she is going to develop the relationship between the hero and heroine.
