It was time to light a shuck out of Indiana after Jeremy Burke shot the lowdown Sutton boy who killed his pa. The rest of the Suttons wouldn't be forgetting, and that meant Jeremy would have to lose himself in the western frontier to stay clear of hot lead.

It wasn't that Burke was afraid of the Suttons -- it was that he promised his pa, right before the old man died, that he'd never kill another Sutton -- and a deathbed promise wasn't something to be taken lightly. But getting bushwacked wasn't much to Burke's liking either. He'd have to watch his backtrail and -- when the bullets started flying -- he'd find there was more at stake than his own life.
